Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, 12 October 2022 – IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A., EURONEXT), the world leader in particle accelerator technology, celebrated its 35th anniversary on Tuesday October 11, in Wavre (Belgium), after a year’s delay due to the global pandemic, with more than 500 entrepreneurs and key players representing the Belgian and Walloon economic regions.
Pierre Mottet, Chairman of the Board of IBA and President of the Walloon Union of Enterprises (UWE), and Olivier Legrain, CEO of IBA, highlighted five fundamental topics related to entrepreneurship and creating “a leading sustainable Walloon region, together”:

Those five topics were discussed during a rich and lively debate, enhanced by the participation of five preeminent entrepreneurs:
- Anne Laure van der Wielen, General Secretary of the 2030-CEO Alliance for Sustainability, mentioned the transition challenges for becoming a sustainable economy, and the business responsibility to contribute to a prosperous, fair and inclusive society
- Yves Jongen, Founder of IBA, emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge and promoting loyalty, equity, selflessness, which have been core values of IBA since its inception
- Sébastien Dossogne, CEO of Magotteaux, vice-president of the UWE and Manager of the Year 2022, discussed the topics of the governance and the employment, along with Grégor Chapelle, CEO of Kick Belgium and former General Director of Actiris
- Grégoire Dallemagne, CEO of Luminus, wrapped up the debate with a discussion on investing in a sustainable future, in regards to the energy crisis we are currently facing
